Air & Electrical Services offers so many services, it’s impossible to list them all. A few services we provide quite often are inspections, energy forms, system design, blower door testing, and surge protection. See below for more information.

Inspections

Looking to purchase a home and need to know what condition the air conditioner is in?

Our HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) inspections are performed by experienced and certified technicians. We use the latest diagnostic tools and equipment to ensure that your system is inspected thoroughly. We will also provide you with a detailed report of our findings, information about your equipment, and information about any remaining manufacturers warranty coverage along with any recommendations for repairs or maintenance.

Energy Forms

When building or renovating a residential property in Florida, it is important to comply with the state’s energy efficiency requirements. These requirements are outlined in the Florida Building Code (FBC), which is updated every three years. The FBC sets minimum standards for energy efficiency in residential buildings, including insulation, windows, doors, and HVAC systems.

To comply with the FBC, builders and homeowners must submit certain forms to the local building department. These forms provide documentation that the building meets the energy efficiency requirements. We use the latest software to provide you with the required R405 energy form that is needed to pull a permit. We will need to know all the specifics about how your home is being constructed. A short list of the information we need includes: insulation values of walls, windows, ceilings, and doors; materials that walls and roof are constructed of, values of insulation used in your home, and direction your home faces.

We use the best industry software to provide energy calculations per manual j and equipment selections per manual s to ensure your equipment will work as you intended.

What we will need from you: Blueprints, insulation values, information on any rooms that may have electronic equipment or heat generating equipment beyond a normal house, and your lifestyle.

Surges happen. It wasn’t common for air conditioners to have circuit boards 20 years ago – but that has changed as energy requirements have been signed into law. As air conditioners become more and more electronically controlled, we have seen increasing repairs due to the number of control boards in air conditioners. It is crucial to have surge suppression installed for piece of mind. Call Air & Electrical Services today to have a whole home surge protector and a/c surge suppressor installed today.

A simple surge protection device could save you thousands on repairs and prevent your from suffering through periods of time with no cool air.
